He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Johnson and Jeana Johnson (Bybee); and his granddaughter Savannah. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Johnson (Biggerstaff) of McLeansboro; his children, Jennifer VanAllen (John) of Mt. Vernon, IL and Dustin Shelton (Jennifer Duncan) of McLeansboro; his grandchildren, J. T. VanAllen, Jaxon VanAllen, Jace VanAllen, Landon Shelton, Amalia Shelton and Arian Shelton; his stepchildren, Waynetta Burpo of Washington and Connor Burpo of Washington; and his siblings, Jesse Johnson of McLeansboro, Stacey Murdach of McLeansboro and Michele Ferguson (Jeff) of Geff, IL.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro, which is assisting the family with arrangements.
