He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Kowalski and Helen Kowalski (Dublo). He is survived by: his wife Patricia Kowalski (Pokorney); his daughter April Bowman (Phillip) of McLeansboro, Illinois; his grandchildren, Maxwell Bowman and Layla Bowman; his sister Genevieve Lee of Creve Coeur, Missouri; and his siblings-in-law, Stanley Pokorney (Rita), Laverne Dickerson and Madylen Baugh. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews.
Memorials may be made in Richard's honor to Saint Barbara Cemetery or Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church.
