She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Alford and Selma Alford; her husband Virgil E. McDonald; her siblings, Richard Alford and Molly Busby; and her great grandchild Stephene Phelps.
She is survived by: her children, Donald McDonald (Mary) of Murphysboro, IL, Ronald McDonald (Shirley) of Cookeville, TN and Jane Sandusky of McLeansboro; her grandchildren, Tina Gerecke (Bruce), Marty Eugene McDonald (Mary), Kyle McDonald (Amy), Gregory Scott Sandusky (Jackie), Rhonda Powell (Dave) and Cindy Phelps (Stewart); and her brother Frank Alford (Nancy) of Longview, TX. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Blooming Grove Baptist Church and will be accepted at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
