He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Mae Cook (Lamb) and Leroy Cook; his son Edward Eugene Cook; his brother Jerry Edward Cook; his siblings-in-law, Shelby Cook and Richard "Duff" Duffina; his niece Cathy Anderson Sexton; his nephew Michael Anderson; and his great great grandchild Sebastian Jordan.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Lynn Toon Greenwood (Wes) of Flora, Marjorie Ann Workman of McLeansboro, Timothy Lee Cook (Emily) of Cheswick and Julia Marie Cook Hufnagel (Marc) of Murphysboro; and his siblings, Richard Cook of Flora, Corrina Songer of Flora and Theresa Taylor (late James) of Clay City. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the children have requested that those who would like to consider a memorial in his honor may do so by planting a tree or making a donation towards expenses incurred.
