He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Briss" Louie Bowers and Claudia Bowers (Bridwell). He is survived by: his wife Judy Bowers (Parker); his daughter Amber Bowers Parker; his grandchildren, Hannah Parker (Quentin Musgrave) and Jacob Parker; his great grandchild Elliana Jude Musgrave; his siblings, John R. Bowers (Phyllis Sue), Larry Joe Bowers (Phyllis June) and Andrea Tennyson (Melvin); his mother-in-law Venita Parker Carsten (Essary); and his brother-in-law James Parker (Debra Thomas). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to assist with final expenses and may be made to Gholson Funeral Home.
