It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathy Lea Cannon of McLeansboro, Illinois, born in Eldorado, Illinois, who passed away on August 13, 2023, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Uriah Mansell and Della "Sally" Mansell (Lakin); her husband Jerry Cannon; her stepson Scotty Cannon; and her brother Darrell Mansell.
She is survived by: her sister Paula Karcher (Kelly); her sons, Jason and Jarrod Cannon; her grandson Gage Cannon; her daughter-in-law Wendy Cannon; and her nephews, Kirk Skelton, Kyle Skelton (Becky) and Kelby Karcher (Mara). She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, grandchildren, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to assist the family with final expenses. Memorial donations will be accepted at the church or at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
