With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kathryn Lorene Mitchell of McLeansboro, Illinois, born in Carmi, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 15, 2024 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Tuggle and Tamsey Tuggle; her husband Ted Mitchell; and her brothers, Vilo Tuggle, Monroe Tuggle, Joseph Tuggle, Chalon Tuggle, George Tuggle, Chuck Tuggle and Nick Tuggle.
She is survived by: her children, Bill Mitchell (Kathy) of Poplar Bluff, MO, Beverly Husman (Mike) of Sykesville, MD and Vickie Lindstrom (John) of McLeansboro; her grandchildren, Jill Callihan (Bryce), Crystal Ryan (Dennis), Lois Vaupel (Jerrod), Stacy Thompson (Matt), Stephanie Weinz (Tim), Lori Clendenin (Logan), Jessica Husman, Daniel Lindstrom and Kathryn Lindstrom; and her nieces, Shirley Ingram and Emma Grace Conner. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Glaucoma Foundation and will be accepted during the service at the church or at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
