It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Robert Cox of McLeansboro, Illinois, who passed away on September 16, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Cox and Ethel Cox (Weems); his spouse Shirley Mae Cox (Meadows); his daughters, Karen Lacy and Bobbie Lynne Cox; and his siblings, Noble Cox, Virgil Cox, Lowell Cox, Gerald Cox, Charles Cox, David "Bill" Cox, Betty Mercuro and Mable Hampton.
He is survived by: his daughter Robbie Lynn White of Bloomington, IL; his grandchildren, Bethany Chambers (Daniel) of Blanchard, MI, Marissa Decker (Nate) of Blanchard, MI, Ana Lacy of The Dalles, OR, Shauna Williams (Jack) of New Braunfels, TX and Jordan White (Maddie) of Bloomington, IL; his great grandchildren, Vivian Kay Chambers, Carter Chambers, Benjamin Lacy, Molleigh Grace Williams and Jaxon Patrick Williams; and his pets, Blue and Marley White.
