It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Thomas of McLeansboro, Illinois, who passed away on June 17, 2021, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Marvin Thomas. He is survived by: his mother Joyce Louise Thomas (Upton) of McLeansboro; his children, David W. Thomas (Sara) of Taylorville, IL and Deidra Doerr (Cory) of Waterloo, IL; his siblings, James Thomas of McLeansboro and Deanna Lentz (Dan) of Laurel, MD; his grandchildren, Blake, Sophia, Nicholas, Fredrick and Albert; his niece Katherine Lentz; and his nephew Kevin Lentz.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Park Foundation or the Lung Cancer Research Foundation, and will be accepted at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro, which is in charge of arrangements.
