It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Caroline Germaine Bowling of McLeansboro, Illinois, who passed away on July 26, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, F. L. "Cappy" Aydt and Winnie Aydt of Dahlgren, IL.; her husband Jim; her brother Jerome Aydt (Reba); and her great grandchild Jace Robert Bowling.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Kerley (Fred) of Benton, IL, John Bowling (Vicki) of Dahlgren, IL, Sandy Bowling (Billy Cardwell) of Benton, IL and Steve Bowling (Sherry) of McLeansboro, IL.; her grandchildren, Jonathan Scattone (Sue) of McLeansboro, IL, Jeffrey Bowling (Cara) of McLeansboro, IL, Jimmy Bowling of McLeansboro, IL, Derek Bowling of McLeansboro, IL, Dylan Bowling of McLeansboro, IL, Kelly Petit (Chris) of Ocean Springs, MS, Christopher Kerley of Benton, IL and Damien Bowling (Leslie) of Flora, IL; her great grandchildren, Jacob Scattone (Maggie), Nadia Kerley, Leah, Finn Bowling, Emery, Drew, Casey Bowling, Quinn and Riley Petit; and her sister-in-law Ann Ellis (Phil) of Fredericksburg, VA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in remembrance of Jace Robert Bowling and will be accepted at Gholson Funeral Home.
