It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Sue Campbell of McLeansboro, Illinois, born in Murphysboro, Illinois, who passed away on August 25, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Lindsey and Anna Lindsey (Robinson); her husband Charles William Campbell; and her siblings, Paul William Lindsey, Sylvester Lindsey, Dorothy Lindsey, Harriet Hull, Marion Arnold and Ernestine "Tina" Key.
She is survived by: her children, Margaret Smith of McLeansboro, Cynthia Lynn Penny (Troy) of Wakeman, OH and Charles Michael "Mike" Campbell of McLeansboro; her grandchildren, Jessica Allgood (P. J.) of Lorain, OH, Anthony DeLorenzo (Andrea) of Ft. Wayne, IN, Angela Marie DeLorenzo (Nick Mason) of Lorain, OH and Seth Andrew Campbell of Fairfield, IL; her great grandchildren, Amani Taylor, Aston Allgood, Amyah Allgood, Jayden DeLorenzo, Anthony DeLorenzo Jr. and Jacqueline Raye DeLorenzo; and her siblings, Robert Lindsey (Sandra) of Eldorado, IL, Ernest "Ernie" VanGulider of Granite City, IL and Doris Lindsey of Glen Carbon, IL. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, and will be accepted at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
