She was predeceased by: her parent Edward Atkins; her husband Bernard Smith; her brother Jack Atkins; and her children, Dexter Smith, Donald Caffrey and Marie Caffrey.
She is survived by: her parent Mildred Atkins (Jones); her children, Deena Davis (Leameal) of Caseyville, IL, Leola Caffrey of Granite City, IL, Bernie Smith (Tara) of McLeansboro, IL and Daniel Smith (Cindy) of New Athens, IL; and her sisters, Fawn and Imogene. She is also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; extended family and many friends.
