He was predeceased by: his parents, Eber Thompson and Sybil LeGates. He is survived by: his wife Paula Kuehl; his brothers, John LeGates (Nancy Boulton-LeGates) and Dick LeGates (Joanne Fraser); his children, Sarah LeGates (Michael Tanner), Margaret Lehr (David Jr.), Anne Marie Rector (Nathan), Eric Kuehl (Anne) and Jason Kuehl (Jen); his nieces, Rebecca LeGates (Jonathan Root) and Courtney LeGates (Alex Strader); his grandchildren, Joshua, Jonathan Tanner, Tommy, Sammy Lehr, Natalie Rector, Maggie Kuehl, Amelia, Erica, Ehren Kuehl, Amber Hefner (Nick) and Hailey Kuehl; his former wife Jennie LeGates; and also, Sarah and Margaret. He is also survived by friends and neighbors.
