It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dennis R. Gardner of McHenry, Illinois, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on December 27, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gardner and Ruth Gardner; and his nephew Todd Laidlaw. He is survived by: his wife Betty Gardner (Larson); his children, Dale Gardner (Dee), Dawn Harden (Donnie) and Tracey Nelson (Dave); his grandchildren, Joey (Angelica), Kayla, Rachel, Kyle, Douglas, Stephanie, Mackenzie, Donnie III, Gavin, Logan and Mason; his great grandchildren, Bella, Nicholas and Anthony; and his sister Kathleen Laidlaw (late John).
In lieu of flowers memorials in Dennis's name can be made to The American Heart Association.
