He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard V. and Mary L. Brooke (McCord); his siblings, Russell, Lewis and Donna M. Stigman of Modesto, CA; and his stepmother Laura.

Ward (Russell) of Crystal Lake, IL and Betty Giannone (Steve) of Wimberley, TX; his grandchildren, Stephanie Lopez (Armando) of Ingleside, IL, Tina Michelle Brooke of Madison, WI, Todd William Brooke of Columbia, MO, Joseph Ellis Trimble of Bloomington, IL, Nina Trimble of New York, NY, Jeffrey Roedel of Columbus, OH, Linda Johnson (Arnold) of Cary, NC, Brian Ward (Kim) of Burbank, CA, Kiffen Grace (Gwen) of Austin, TX and Logan Grace of Austin, TX; and his great grandchildren, Jourdan Johnson of Raleigh, NC, Skylar, Darcy Ward of Burbank, CA and Benjamin Lopez of Ingleside, IL..
Amy preceded Carl in death in 2003 after an 18-year battle with Alzheimer's disease.
