She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert S. Smithey and Laree Smithey Sr. of McClure, Illinois.; and her sisters, Alice Smithey Skiles, Carolyn Smithey Matlock and Sharon Smithey Hines-Turner.

She is survived by: her siblings, Nancy D. Smithey of McClure, Illinois and Robert S. Smithey Jr. (Gayla) of Jonesboro, Illinois. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of choice.
