She was predeceased by: her sons, Charles Cecil Gordon Jr. and Larry Gordon; her parents, Willie Dyess and Eula Dyess; and her siblings, Roy Bolden (Emily), Henry Bolden, Charles Bolden, Charles William Dyess, William Charles Dyess and J. W. Dyess.
She is survived by: her children, Omie Lane (Clyde), Mamie Gordon, Wanda Lane, Gwen Gordon and Randy Gordon; her grandchildren, Chiquita Gordon, Aisha Lane, Titilayo Lane, Martina Lane, Takiyah Lane, Divonnie Banks, Kisha Dunbar and Reginald McCoy; her great grandchildren, Tamara Colon De (Joseph), Bert'hel Walters, Kelice Williams, Saniyya Harvey, Jeremiah Lane and Jayden Stewart; her great great grandchild Naomie Colon De Jesus; and her sister Ruth Aguillard (late J. V.).
