With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas Owen Kuhl of Mattoon, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 16, 2025 at the age of 80. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Kuhl (Owen) and Marion Kuhl; his stepdaughter Kristen Lane-Brunson; and his stepgrandchildren, Jocelyn and Myles.
He is survived by: his wife Jan Lane (Hinton); his children, Christina Kuhl Wools (Matt) and John Thomas Kuhl (Angie); his stepson Robert Lane; and his grandchildren, Jacob, Jared Wools, Elise, Ian and Celine Kuhl.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight and St. Agnes Catholic Church, in honor of Tom's legacy of service and commitment to his community.
