Cannoy of Mattoon, Illinois, born in Rardin, Illinois, who passed away on October 11, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse James and Ella Louise Cannoy (Clark); his brothers, John Cannoy and Ronald Cannoy; his daughter Sue Patrick; his grandson Aaron Oakley; his great grandchild Micahel Durdel; and his pet Roxie.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Emma Hamilton; his children, Jess Cannoy (Patty), Rhonda Naples (Ron), Joella Higgins, Roberta Oakley and Florence Cannoy-VanHyfte (Mark); and his sister Jahala Aaron. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren.
Memorial donations in his honor may be given to the Coles County Animal Shelter.
