With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Russell Eugene Cox of Mattoon, Illinois, who passed away on July 31, 2020 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Cox and Pearl Cox (Lashbrook). He is survived by: his wife Rosetta Mae Price; his children, Rod Cox (Kim) and Judy Eaton; his grandchildren, Kasey Bosler, Beau Morris (Kinda), Brooke Hoene (Andrew), Keri Cox (Chris Esker) and Brittiney Burton (Matt); his stepgrandchildren, Natalie Freeman, Nathan Freeman, Averie, Jaxon, Grady, Kendall, Drew, Jace, Koy, Lauyrn, Karsyn, Jagger and Maxdon; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Rhylee, Zaiden, Ashton and Lakyn; and his siblings, Max Cox (Sonja) and Nadine Shew. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Memorial donations in his honor may be given to VFW Post 4325.
