She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Cheek and Addie Cheek (Odum); and her son Joey Alex Yandell. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Specht of Mattoon; and her children, Jeff Yandell (LaDonna) of Muskegon, MI, Jaceson Yandell (Renae) of Monticello, Margo Christian (Ken) of Mattoon and Connie Specht of Birmingham, AL.. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or to the Southern Baptist Church, Sullivan.
