It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roberta W. Smith of Mattoon, Illinois, who passed away on October 12, 2020, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Walden and Freda Walden (Bechtel); her husband Mack Smith; her son Mack Smith; and her brother Rex Walden.
She is survived by: her son Jack Smith (Susie); her daughter-in-law Susan Braun of Mattoon; her grandchildren, Maggie Grimley (Justin) of Lake Stevens, WA, Haley Houser of Mattoon and Luke Ames (Molly) of Sullivan; and her great grandchildren, Jack Grimley, Alex Houser, Gianna Houser and Evelyn Ames. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
The family requires that guests wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines.
Memorial donations in her honor may be given to Lincolnland Hospice or the Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home Harmony Center.
