He is survived by: his mother Betty Thompson (Davidson) of Mattoon, IL; his wife Shari Brannan; his sons, Gregory Thompson (Kate) of North Liberty, IA, Matt Thompson (Stacie) of Glen Carbon, IL and Andy Thompson (Laura) of Manhattan, KS; his brothers, Terry Thompson (Susan) of Indianapolis, IN and Mike Thompson (Donna) of Mattoon, IL; and his close friends, Gary Huddleston (Jackie) and Mike Walters (Carol). He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
Memorial donations in his honor may be given to Tunnel 2 Towers or Shriners Children's Hospital.
