He was predeceased by: his parents, Shelby Johnson and Freda Johnson (VanDeveer); and his brother Ronald "Jim" Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Madonna Johnson of Mattoon, IL; his daughters, Teri Moore of Mattoon, IL and Meri Stewart (Scott) of Mattoon, IL; his grandchildren, Heather Hinton (Brian), Keri Auffenorde (Tim), Sadie Willaredt, Adam Willaredt, Jacob Stewart and Jerry Stewart; and his great grandchildren, Shelbi Birch (Austin), Abbi Hinton, Ben Hinton, Lela Durbin, Louie Durbin, Rylee Durbin and Kynlee Durbin.
Memorial donations in his honor are suggested to Shriners Hospital for Children or First Christian Church.
