It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael C. Nichols of Mattoon, Illinois, who passed away on January 11, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Michael C. Nichols to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Nichols and Elizabeth Nichols (Littleton). He is survived by: his wife Maralyn Higgins; his daughter Therese Nichols (Gene Wildman); his grandson Devon; and his sisters, Elizabeth Baily and Paula Duncan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations in his honor may be given to the Sarah Bush Lincoln Cancer Center, 1000 Health Center Drive, Mattoon, Illinois 61938.
