She was predeceased by: her parents, Burl Henson and Pearl Henson; her son-in-law Michael L. Harmon; her brother Otis Dale Henson; and her brothers-in-law, Bob McDowell and Jim McDowell.

She is survived by: her husband William Wayne McDowell of Mattoon, IL; her daughter Marcia Jeanette Harmon of Louisville, IL; her granddaughter Donna Jeanette Bean of Mattoon, IL; her niece Penny McDowell of Mattoon, IL; and her pet Sammy. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations in her honor may be given to Schilling Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
