It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Madeline D. Horath of Mattoon, Illinois, who passed away on March 8, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Czerwonka and Ernestine (Gust); her husband Roy Horath; and her siblings, Lucille Hooker, Helen Schwarz, Margaret Engelbart, Delores Baker, Howard, Victor and Donald.
She is survived by: her sons, Steve (Judy), Larry (Shirley) and Gary (Susan); her grandchildren, Brett (Shelly), Melanie Phelps (Jason), Justin (Kimberly), Patrick (Lindsey), Rachel Smith (Tim) and Andrea White (John); her great grandchildren, Mattie Horath, Dalton, Holly Phelps, Casey Horath, Stella Horath, Nolan Horath and Charlotte Horath; and her siblings, Wanda Miller and Melvin Czerwonka.
Memorial donations in her honor may be given to Lincolnland Hospice or to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Sigel.
