She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Newt, Lela Ames, Nellie and John Beals; and her brother-in-law Brian Evans.

She is survived by: her parents, Donald Leon Sr. and Dorothy Louise Ames (Helm); her children, Stefanie Williams (John), Katie Beason (Austin Stark), Brant Herring (Nancy) and Dave Herring (Lyndsey); her grandchildren, Madalynn Williams, John Williams IV, Sofia Williams, Levi Williams, Bradley Reed, Colton Herring, Luke Herring, Austin Herring, Owen and Gwen Herring; and her siblings, Donald Ames Jr. (Colleen), Tim Ames (JoAnn) and Tammy Evans.

Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Schilling Funeral Home (1301 Charleston Ave, Mattoon, IL 61938). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
