He was predeceased by: his parents, Christian "Chris" Gottlieb Wetzel Jr. and Emily Katherina Wetzel (Wilhelm); his former wife Mary Martha Shafer; and his siblings, Lillian Weber, Velma Hutchings, Merlin and Donald.
He is survived by: his former wife Judith Anna Baldwin; his wife Judy; his children, Peggy Kepp (Phil) and David Wetzel (Mary); and his siblings, Edwin Wetzel (Pat), Irma Kidwell and Lorene Mohlenhoff. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and many step-children, step-grandchildren.
Services will be privately held due to Covid.
