He is survived by: his wife Jill Tate of Mattoon, IL; his children, Bob Tate (Kathy) of Mattoon, IL, Angie Waggoner (Keith) of Mattoon, IL, Barb Burton (Jason) of Mattoon, IL, Brad Tate and Beth Tate Garrison; his grandsons, Matthew Tate of Mattoon, Preston Hutchison of Mattoon and Wade Burton of Mattoon; his great grandchild Holsten Robert Tate of Mattoon, IL; his sister Norma Thomas of Springfield, IL; and his brothers-in-law, Gerald Foote of Mattoon, IL, David Shadow (Rosalie) of Mattoon, IL and Jim McElravy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
