It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathy Jo Nichols of Mattoon, Illinois, who passed away on January 12, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Dodd and Bernice Dodd (Strater); and her spouse Thomas James Nichols Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Tomi Otto (Rick) of Mattoon, IL, Kandy Nichols of Mattoon, IL and Thomas "T. J." Nichols Jr. (Melissa) of Monticello, IL; and her grandchildren, Tanner James Miller, Mathew Jay Miller, Coltyn James Otto and Aylexis Paige Otto.

Memorial donations in her honor may be given to the family.
