With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Juanita June Thornton of Mattoon, Illinois, who passed away on October 20, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Decker and Helen Madge Decker (Boldt); her husband Vernon W. Thornton; and her daughter Linda Susan Thornton. She is survived by: her sons, William "Bill" Thornton (Linda), Michael "Mike" Thornton (Brenda) and Alan Thornton (Joni). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations in her honor may be given to First Baptist Church in Mattoon.
