He was predeceased by: his parents, John Harold and Pauline Burt Armstrong; and his brother Thomas Armstrong. He is survived by: his wife Carol Armstrong; his children, John Armstrong III, Ann Jessup (Harvey), Jeff and Janet Noland; his grandchildren, Rowan Armstrong, Harvey Jessup (Corinne), Hannah Marcell (Justin), Henry and Corey Noland; his great grandchild Bella Silva; and his sister Dorothy Baker (Harold).
