He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold and Adeline; his sister Linda Lee Kimery Storm; and his cousins, Lorraine Kimery Ciardini and Lorice Kimery.

He is survived by: his spouse Verita "Vee" Marie Froula; his son Jacob "Jake" Charles Kimery (Cristen); his grandchildren, Scarlett Jo and Jack Charles; his siblings, Stephen L. Kimery of Sycamore, Paula Jean Kimery of Mattoon and Rebecca Coduto (Angelo) of Sanford; his cousin Bonnie Lane (Bill) of Neoga; and his nieces and nephews, Derek Storm, Joel Storm, Scott Kimery, Stephen Bushur, Heather Lindamood (Bushur), Brian Coduto and Megan Coduto. He is also survived by the five siblings, 3 cousins.

Memorials in Joel's honor may be made to The SBL Regional Cancer Center, Lincolnland Hospice or Charity of Donor's choice.
