It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Butler of Mattoon, Illinois, born in Hurst, Illinois, who passed away on December 15, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin K. Brumitt and Lucy Elizabeth Brumitt (Phillips); and her husband Howard Eugene Butler. She is survived by: her sons, Randy Butler (Kathy) of Sullivan, IL and David Butler (Jody) of Des Moines, IA; and her grandchildren, Jeremy Butler (Megan) of Mattoon, IL, Sarah Gentry (Mike) of Bethany, IL, Elizabeth Reed (Al Ruge) of Mattoon, IL, Joshua Butler of Decatur, IL, Aubrey Hernandez of Ankeny, IA and Adam Lafond of Bourbonnais, IL. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren.

Memorial donations in her honor may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
