She was predeceased by: her parents, Alton Ernest Higginbotham and Lillie Aleene Higginbotham (Biddle); her brother Don Higginbotham; and her granddaughter Rachel. She is survived by: her sons, Paul Mitri (Suzanne) and Christopher Hunt (Tara Upton); her grandchildren, Justin Hunt (Katy Roberts), Elizabeth Robison (Keith), Rebecca Sutterfield (Keith), Jameson Mitri and Anika Mitri; her brother Rex Higginbotham (Anne); her great grandchildren, Henry, Oliver and Cillian; her pets, Cricket and Pipp; and her friends, Cheryl Coleman, Kathy Duzan, Maranda Poulter and Tracy Cole.
Memorial donations in her honor may be given to the Coles County Animal Shelter.
