He was predeceased by: his parents, Maynard Ayers and Maxine Ayers (Goodson); and his wife Helen May Ayers (Hutton). He is survived by: his son Corde Ayers (Gloria) of Mattoon, IL; his grandchildren, Carisa Ayers of Collinsville, IL and Gaven Ayers of Humboldt, IL; and his siblings, Larry Ayers of Mattoon, IL and Judy Lineberry of Mattoon, IL..
