It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerry Burton Gosnell of Mattoon, Illinois, who passed away on August 12, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Gosnell and Avanelle Gosnell (Burton); his wife Wilma (Chessher); his siblings, Janelle Walker, Steve Gosnell, Mike Gosnell and Doug Gosnell; his son-in-law Jamie Perry; and his great grandchild Brynlie Rae Carver.
He is survived by: his children, Patty Carver (Shawn) of Kennewick, WA, Shane Gosnell (Julie) of Mattoon, IL, Christian Gosnell (Jessica) of Louisville, KY, Amanda Thompson (Adam) of Trilla, IL and Joshua Gosnell of Quincy, IL; and his siblings, Terry Gosnell (Diana) and Jana Gilmore of Rose Hill, IL. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren.
