It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elsie Mae Syfert of Mattoon, Illinois, born in Shelbyville, Illinois, who passed away on October 2, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Taylor and Ruth Taylor (Chism); her husband Dick; and her son George. She is survived by: her children, Richard Syfert Jr. (Kathleen) of Sigel, Diana Hollie (Mark) of Ramer, TN and Debbie Turnquist (Kevin) of New Smyrna Beach, FL; and her daughter-in-law Sherrie Syfert of Decatur. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
