Dorothy Taylor Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Taylor of Mattoon, Illinois, who passed away on June 25, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Wilson Beals and Grace Marie Beals (Thompson); her husband Walter W. "Dick" Taylor; her daughter-in-law Carol Ann Taylor; her siblings, Jim Beals, Ted Beals, Betty Ann Gross and Lorene Carter; and her nieces and nephews, Mike Gross, Melvin "Red" Taylor, Linda Devereaux (Taylor), Paula Jane Eveland (Taylor) and Shelly Taylor.
She is survived by: her children, Walter Daniel "Dan" Taylor of Adel, GA, Donald Lee Taylor (Margaret) of Mattoon, IL and Valerie Kay Taylor of Effingham, IL; and her sister-in-law Norma Taylor. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial donations in Dorothy's honor to be given to the VFW Auxiliary in Mattoon, IL.
