With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dennis Alan Ernst (Mattoon, Illinois), born in Pana, Illinois, who passed away on September 20, 2022 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Ernst and Marjorie Ernst (Workman); his sister Patsy; his parents-in-law, Gene (Oliver) and Vicky Edgecombe (Buella); and his brother-in-law Larry Edgecombe.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie Ernst of Cooks Mills, IL; his children, Todd Ernst (Angela) of Sullivan and Wendy Fuqua (Chuck) of Mattoon; his grandchildren, Colin Ernst, Hayley (Gagliardo), Cody Ashworth and Austin Ashworth; and his great grandchildren, Hazel, Reese and Annabelle. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Memorial donations in his honor may be given to Family Worship Center, the Black Tigers or VFW.
