It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David R. Barnes (Mattoon, Illinois), born in Shelbyville, Illinois, who passed away on April 5, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy E. Barnes and Phyllis Barnes (Storm). He is survived by: his wife Cathy Barnes; his children, William B. "Buck" Barnes and Rebecca L. Ritz (Ben); his grandson Connor Ritz; and his brother Paul W. Barnes (Pege). He is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorial donations in his honor may be given to the Lake Land College Foundation, AG Scholarship or the Windsor Harvest Picnic.
