He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Maurice and Mary Margaret Roy (Mohlenhoff); his stepmother Betilou Hilgenberg Roy; his niece Noelle Boothby; and his mother-in-law Elaine Ebeling.
He is survived by: his wife Diana Roy; his siblings, John Roy and Maureen Boothby (Jim); his stepsiblings, Jim Hilgenberg (Toby) and Kyla Cox (Todd Dutton); his extended family, Karl Jenson (Linda), Matthew, Sarah (C. J.), Jeffrey Miller, Barb Ebeling, Emma and Hannah; and his father-in-law Rudy Ebeling.
Memorial donations in his honor may be given to the Kidney Foundation, American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, or the St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Mattoon.
