It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bruce Fitzpatrick of Mattoon, Illinois, born in Harrisonburg, Virginia, who passed away on April 9, 2021, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Fitzpatrick and Ileene Ealy (Hargis); and his sister Sarah. He is survived by: his wife Kathy (Covalt); his grandchildren, Derek Fitzpatrick (Patty), Alan Fitzpatrick (Carol), Jill Lawhorn (Fitzpatrick), Lisa Fitzpatrick, Azi Fitzpatrick, Lilly Fitzpatrick, Dixie Lawhorn, James Fitzpatrick, Raylan Lawhorn, Ronan Fitzpatrick, Nora Fitzpatrick and Ariel Lawhorn; his sister Jeanna; and his nieces, Angela Ritz, Heather Rardin and Jacklynn Morales. He is also survived by children.
In lieu of flowers, thoughtful donations in his honor to assist with final expenses will be gratefully accepted and may be made to his daughter, Lisa Fitzpatrick.
