He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Reed Edwards and Mabel Luella Edwards (Boyd); his wife Carolyn June Miller; and his brothers, Don and Frank Edwards.
He is survived by: his children, James Edwards (Becky) of Lovington, IL, Richard Edwards (Charlene) of Charleston, IL, Julia McKibben (Larry) of Mattoon, IL and Paula Spivey (Dale) of Mattoon, IL; his grandchildren, Bradley Edwards (Crystal), Rachel Conroy (James), Elizabeth Borrelli (Steven), Joshua McKibben (Miriam), Gage Edwards, Jeremy Spivey, Gabriel McKibben (Mara), Kelby Edwards (Jordan), Sara Goldsborough (Clint) and Sasha Miller (Gareth); his great grandchildren, Sandy Conroy, Oliver Edwards, Bennett, Bethany Borrelli, Emma, Lilian and Jaidyn Edwards; and his siblings, Betty Alewine, Jim Edwards and Roger Edwards.
Memorial donations in his honor may be given to Sarah Bush Lincoln Willow Breeze Hospice House.
