With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty C. Shain of Mattoon, Illinois, born in Charleston, Illinois, who passed away on October 8, 2022 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Neal Haddock and Pauline Marguerite Haddock (Icenogle); her son Dwayne L. Shain; and her brother Ronnie Haddock. She is survived by: her husband Charles Fletcher Shain; her daughters, Diane Shain of Mattoon, IL and Janet Fuller of Mattoon, IL; her grandchildren, Amanda Shaffer of Champaign, IL, Brandy Miller of Mattoon, IL, Natalie Fuller of Mattoon, IL, Braden Shain of Champaign, IL, Shayne Fuller of Mattoon, IL and Colton Fuller of Mattoon, IL; her great grandchildren, Ashley Shaffer of Champaign, IL, Ryan Shaffer of Champaign, IL and Anlon Shain of Champaign, IL; her sister Joyce Kolbus of Chattanooga, TN; and her siblings-in-law, James Shain (Dorothy) of Centralia, IL, Ron Shain (Lavonne) and Kay Kearney of Lovington, IL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
