He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen and Lula (Guillion); his son Ronald; and his brothers, Roger, Bill and Clark Abbott.
He is survived by: his wife Carol; his sons, Brent Abbott (Lacee) of Toledo and Doug Abbott (Carrin) of Charleston; his grandchildren, Mason, Anakin, Hayden, Samuel and Lucas; his siblings, Robert Abbott (Mary), Merlyn Abbott, Eva Closson (Rex) and Glenda Webster (Mike); his close friend Jack Allen (Dennis "Woody" Wooden); and his pets, Duke and Sparky.
Memorial donations in his honor may be given to The Coles County Animal Shelter.
