It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alan Gilbert (Mattoon, Illinois), born in Savoy, Illinois, who passed away on February 6, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Kenneth Gilbert and Noreen Haytt Gilbert; his wife Shirley Gilbert of Garrett; his children, Scott Gilbert (Renee) of Macon, Georgia, Rob Natalie (Wendy) of Carlyle, Indiana and Amy Kauffman of Hume; his siblings, David Gilbert (Vicki) of Arcola and Valerie Kinnaird (David) of Charleston; and his son David Mulvaney. He was also cherished by 15 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
