It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ken Verplaetse of Matherville, Illinois, born in Moline, Illinois, who passed away on December 3, 2020, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Verplaetse and Patsy Kellum Verplaetse; his brother-in-law George Carlton; and his brothers, Robert and Scott Verplaetse.
He is survived by: his siblings, Lynn Carlton of Seaton, Randall Verplaetse (Dru) of Friendsville, Annette Doonan (Kirk) of Viola and Wayne Verplaetse (Angie) of Matherville, Illinois; and his sister-in-law Cheri Verplaetse of Washington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
