He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward A. Short and Erma I. Short (Hargis); his sister Sherry Mitchell; and his aunt Lucille Furlow. He is survived by: his wife Lola Noakes; his children, Edward Short Jr. (Luana) and Edie Rogers (Mark); his grandchildren, Emma, Cassie, Jenica, Jamison and Joshua; and his sister Judy Jacobson (Ron). He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, or The Wounded Warriors Project.
